Volunteer Roles Available

Workshop Facilitator

Co-facilitate community workshops on elder safety, digital literacy, and peacebuilding. Training provided. No experience needed β€” just patience and a willingness to listen.

Community Outreach

Help spread the word about MMPF programs. Visit community centres, churches, and band offices. Connect people with our workshops.

Event Volunteer

Support MMPF events including the Voices of the North Canada Day Festival. Help with setup, registration, activities, and takedown.

Digital & Media Support

Help film workshop recaps, edit short videos, or manage social media posts. Your skills in photography, video, or design directly serve the community.

Administrative Support

Assist with grant reporting, data entry, translation, or document preparation. Remote-friendly β€” contribute from anywhere in Northern Manitoba.

Youth Mentor

Work alongside young people in MMPF’s Youth Voices and Safety program. Share your experience and help youth build confidence and communication skills.

How We Work With Volunteers

Connect β€” we’ll arrange a brief phone or video call to match you to the right program

Orientation β€” attend a short volunteer orientation (online or in-person) to learn about MMPF’s values and approach

Start contributing β€” join a workshop, support an event, or begin your assigned role with full support from our team

Stay connected β€” receive program updates, invitations to team events, and recognition for your contribution

Who Can Volunteer

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and experience levels. You do not need formal education or credentials. MMPF particularly values volunteers who have lived experience in northern communities, Indigenous communities, or who work in health, education, or social services.
