Youth Voices and Safety

Empowering Young People to Speak Up, Stay Safe, and Lead

About the Program

Finding Your Voice in a Complex World

We support young people to find their voice, stay safe, communicate effectively, and navigate social systems with confidence and awareness. This program creates spaces where youth are heard, respected, and equipped with practical tools for everyday life.

What the Program Is

Youth Voices and Safety is a dialogue-based program designed to help young people aged 13–25 develop the communication, safety, and self-advocacy skills they need to thrive. Through facilitated workshops, peer conversations, and skill-building activities, participants explore how to express themselves clearly, set boundaries, recognize unsafe situations, and connect to the support they need.

Why Youth Voices Matter

Young people often face pressure to stay silent β€” about conflict at home, about bullying, about feeling unsafe, or about navigating systems that feel unfamiliar or unwelcoming. When young people are given tools to communicate effectively and spaces where their voice is genuinely respected, they become more confident, more connected to community, and better equipped to make decisions that protect their wellbeing. Youth who feel heard are more likely to seek help when they need it.
